Mothers play several roles both at work and at home, this makes them spend less time than necessary on their own well-being.
The family and children are the mother’s priority, but, just as they worry about family member’s health, it is also important that they follow a healthy lifestyle to fulfill all their goals and activities.
By following these tips mom will be a healthier woman:
- Adopt a healthy eating style that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, good fats, and vitamins.
- Perform physical activity to avoid the loss of muscle mass.
- Regularly check blood pressure.
- Check triglycerides, cholesterol, and glucose.
- Do not smoke and if alcoholic beverages are consumed, do so moderately.
- Don’t forget to get regular mammograms and cytologies.
- To avoid osteoporosis, get a bone mineral density test.
- Monitor gastrointestinal illnesses, such as reflux and gastritis.
- Get some “me time” give yourself a break, and avoid stress and mental illness.
